"Changing out my barrel with a Bergara FINALLY got my
TC Encore® to perform as it should out-of-the-box!
Everyone who is looking for immediate accuracy
should make this change!"
   - Russell
Manufactured in Bergara, Spain, a region known to produce some of the finest guns in the world, Bergara Barrels has combined the most technically-advanced barrel manufacturing equipment with an unwavering commitment to quality and value. This superior technology combined with decades of barrel making experience delivers a production barrel that performs like it was custom made.

"One of the two most talked about issues among professional shooters as well as many other shooters, is what type of barrel is on their rifle. There are, in fact, many good factory barrels on today’s rifles but most require some (or many) shots to break the barrel in before you start getting decent groups. What you’re doing during this break-in period is getting the tool marks from the manufacturing process out of the barrel and making the bore smooth. At M.A.X. we have found that with Thompson Center products it takes 50 to 70 or more shots before their barrels really start to settle down and start producing consistent 1 inch or less groups at 100 yards. What a shooter is paying for in a custom barrel is a hand-lapping process which removes these tool marks and will provide better groups right off the bat.

At M.A.X., we started looking at after-market drop-in barrels for the Encore in late 2008. We hit pay dirt with the first barrel we tested and never spent another dollar on any other brand.

The first, and now only, brand of barrel we have tested is produced by a company named Bergara. Bergara is owned by B.P.I. (Black Powder Inc.) which also owns the popular brand: CVA. These barrels are made in Bergara, Spain by a group of dedicated and very skilled Spanish craftsman. The process in which these barrels are made gives that hand-lapped performance right out of the box. All of the Bergara barrels we have purchased for testing have produced 1 inch or less group’s immediately in both muzzleloader and center fire. We were so impressed with these barrels that we went through the process to become Bergara Barrel dealers!

We’re confident that once a shooter tries a Bergara drop-in barrel in their Encore, they will never buy any other barrel at any price. The price is another amazing part of these barrels: you will save $75.00 to $100.00 on one of these barrels and still get a far better barrel than you will ever get buying a Thompson Center barrel. At M.A.X. we believe that Bergara barrels will soon make TC barrels nothing more than mere scrap metal!!"
